Electrician/ Electrician Installation, Installation Technician
We are looking for a self-starting, motivated, and trustworthy individual willing to lead and help train a crew of 1-5 men. This is a position for a hands-on, working leader.
Applicants must live within reasonable daily driving distance of our main office in Wetumpka, AL (60 miles +/-). Employment is contingent on a successful Drug Screening (
Hair and Urine
) and Criminal Background check.
There are always a few local projects, but most projects are out of town (100 miles plus from Wetumpka, AL), so the ability and willingness to travel is a must. Typical work schedules are as follows:
Sunday - Thursday (4-10s) and Monday - the following Wednesday (10 days).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Professional, neat appearance and demeanor

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites in the Southeast USA
- At least 5 years' experience in commercial electrical installations
- Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, maintain records and files and prepare reports.
- Plan and supervise the work of subordinate (Electricians, Apprentices, Helpers, etc).
- Coordinating job assignments with the other trades, e.g., plumbers, carpenters, etc.
- Advising company management of technical problems concerned with installation, modification, additions, and/or repairs required of assigned projects.
- Recommend procedural revisions when necessary to fully utilize assigned electricians and other personnel and equipment.
- Managing and tracking material & company tools
- Regular, effective communication with office personnel, completing paperwork (daily logs, time sheets, etc. ) in a timely manner
- Effective quality control combined with the ability to complete work in a neat, safe, and professional manner
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the current electrical code, and the ability to research and retrieve information from it.
- OSHA 30 certificate, or willingness to complete through DPS Group
- Proficient in electrical installation skills including, but not limited to, pipe bending, circuit wiring, feeders, services, fire alarm, wire pulling, underground, wiring electrical equipment, electrical calculations.
- Mechanical and welding skills are a plus.
Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional lifting of or moving up to 50 lbs. Occasional work in crawlspaces, trenches, and high elevations. Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring and drawings.
