Utilities Foreperson

Lead the installation and maintenance of city utilities as a Foreperson in Weyburn's Public Works Department. This full-time position demands strong supervisory skills alongside hands-on expertise in underground infrastructure.

As the Foreperson, you'll coordinate daily operations, supervise a skilled crew, and ensure the safe repair of water, sewer, and storm lines. Your technical knowledge of tools and safety protocols is essential to effectively manage the team's tasks and equipment. This role also includes supporting lift stations and maintaining accurate work records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train staff in utility repairs

• Coordinate tasks and equipment with the Utilities Manager

• Maintain and operate various hand tools and trucks

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and schedules

• Support daily operations of sewer infrastructure

Requirements:

• Certificates in safety and utilities training

• 3-5 years in municipal operations, utilities focus

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience

• Valid Class 5 licence, Class 3A preferred

• Proficiency in leak detection and sewer cameras
