Property Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join a growing team supporting a portfolio of properties. This role offers the opportunity to manage full-cycle property accounting, support month-end close, and partner with operations to drive accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Manage general ledger activity within Yardi, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Review and analyze property-level financial results, investigating and explaining variances
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts monthly
• Partner with property operations and regional leadership to support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with annual budgets, reforecasts, and audit requests
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
• Support process improvements and system enhancements as the organization scales

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or senior living.
• Proficiency with Yardi ERP
• Strong track record of tenure and reliability in previous roles.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
