Job Summary
Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under close general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check‑in, and check‑out. Actual job duties may vary by department.
Essential Functions- Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
- Greet and assist patients.
- Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- File materials in patient folders, and print appointment schedules.
- Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
- Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
- Open and distribute mail or faxes.
- Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.
- May be required to accept co‑payments.
- Handle, screen and/or take messages related to prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations for accuracy.
- May monitor patients in waiting room and respond to any needs for information.
- Assist in patient flow processes.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous healthcare office experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard office applications.
- Knowledge of general office operations, including filing, scanning, copying, printing, and faxing.
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to confidently manage a variety of calls while resolving routine inquiries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, colleagues, and providers.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing documents, composing correspondence, and taking messages.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- A well‑organized approach to work, with the ability to follow established processes and maintain accuracy in a busy office setting.
Location:
541 Main Street, Weymouth, Massachusetts. Candidates must be willing to complete training at nearby sites prior to office opening.

Pay Range: $17.71 - $23.20 per hour.
Grade: 2.
