Job Overview
The Satellite Patient Representative (PR) serves as the first impression a patient has of Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) when contacting the DFCI Satellite. The PR’s role is critical to the caller’s experience and operates in a dynamic team environment to problem‑solve and collaborate, providing an excellent call experience. The PR provides superior customer service to patients, caregivers, clinicians, and staff in accordance with the DFCI Customer Service Standards.
This position is part‑time, scheduled Monday‑Friday during daytime hours. Compensation is $17.17–$23.11 per hour.
• Act as a liaison for incoming calls, ensuring a high‑quality customer experience.
• Provide customer service to patients, caregivers, clinicians, and staff.
• Problem‑solve calls and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
• Communicate and contact patients primarily by phone, with occasional in‑person, written, or portal communication.
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and solve problems on the spot.
- Excellent phone etiquette and PC proficiency; quick to learn new software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
