Job SummaryResponsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations on patients. This includes preparing patients for exams, operating ultrasound equipment, and interpreting ultrasound images.
Essential Functions- Prepare patients for vascular ultrasound exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and applying gel to the skin.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, such as transducers and monitors, to produce images of blood vessels.
- Interpret ultrasound images to identify vascular abnormalities.
- Document exam findings in the patient’s medical record.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers about exam findings.
- Associate's degree Radiologic Technology required.
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification].
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer [RDMS] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
- Registered Vascular Technologist [RVT] - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
- Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred.
Prior experience working in a similar role 2-3 years required.
