Electroswitch is seeking a hands on Assembly Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift Assembly team. Reporting to the Assembly Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing assembly and sub-assembly operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader who can motivate employees, drive continuous improvement, and work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Materials.
Key Responsibilities Lead and support assembly and sub-assembly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Oversee daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Productivity, and Schedule Attainment.
Analyze workloads, staffing requirements, and production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
Train, coach, develop, and evaluate employees while maintaining positive employee relations.
Address performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters as needed.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
Support production planning and proactively address material shortages, bottlenecks, and production delays.
Approve attendance records and maintain department documentation.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development activities.
Assist in monitoring department expenses and supporting operational objectives
Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:
Level of knowledge that is generally associated with a High school education.
Five to seven years of assembly and/or shop experience.
Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficiency in using ERP systems and production management software MS Office experience and ERP experience a must.
Ability to read blueprints, use hand tools and measuring devices, small presses, and other light machinery.

Physical Requirements:
Required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Combination of Manufacturing and Office environment.
Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors.
