Registered Nurse - Critical Care

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly in high-acuity situations. The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to critically ill patients.

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in the ICU.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and unit-based initiatives.

• Active State RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience within the last 2 years.
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Prior experience in other critical care specialties (e.g., cardiac ICU, surgical ICU).
