Position: Registered Nurse - Critical Care - Full-Time, Night Shift

Role Overview

Provides individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation, in accordance with policies and procedures.

Provides individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation, in accordance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers, transcribes, and records medications following policies, including narcotic reconciliation and documentation.
  • Develops, updates, and communicates a personalized plan of care, assessing patient needs and documenting outcomes and interventions.
  • Ensures patient safety by verifying identification, adhering to infection control protocols, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Facilitates patient and family-centered care by respecting preferences, promoting collaboration, and supporting participation in care planning.
  • Maintains professional development through ongoing education, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Utilizes technology effectively, including electronic communication and departmental software, and understands downtime procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and privacy standards, reporting issues appropriately.
  • Contributes to a culture of safety, ethical practice, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrates cultural competence and sensitivity, providing respectful, individualized care to diverse populations.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN license; relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) may be required depending on department.
  • Previous acute care experience preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, patient-centered care, and applicable technology.
