Electroswitch is seeking a first-shift Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing operations. This position performs mechanical and electrical testing and inspection at various stages of production to ensure components, subassemblies, and finished products meet applicable engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.

The position will primarily support Utility Final Test, Industrial Final Test, and the Flow Line QC rotation, while providing coverage in other inspection areas as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection requirements.

Perform incoming, in-process, first-piece, and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished products.

Set up and conduct standard mechanical and electrical tests using appropriate equipment and fixtures.

Use calibrated inspection and measurement equipment, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, plug and thread gauges, hardness testers, multimeters, and electrical power supplies.

Inspect products for dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with applicable requirements.

Accurately document inspection results and initiate nonconformance reports when necessary.

Maintain product history cards, inspection logs, records, and related quality documentation.

Process parts and inspection information through the ERP system as required.

Inspect supplier-provided components and internally manufactured parts through final packaging and shipping.

Support other inspection areas as needed to manage workload and production priorities.

Participate in continuous-improvement activities.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.

One to three years of relevant quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience using mechanical and electrical inspection and measuring equipment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Understanding of quality-control practices and inspection standards.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Experience with soldering is a plus.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality-management systems is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to document inspection results accurately.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment This position operates in a combination of manufacturing and office environments and may involve exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors.
