HVAC Service Technician

Boston Standard / New England Ductless is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Tech to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, cooling, and ductless mini-split systems for residential and light commercial customers across Greater Boston. In this field-based role, you'll handle service calls, perform preventative maintenance, recommend solutions, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. You'll work with a locally focused, customer-first team that values craftsmanship, reliability, and respect, with ongoing training, technical support, and clear paths for growth in a stable, year-round service business.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including ductless mini-splits
• Perform preventative maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and safety checks on heating and cooling equipment
• Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls across the Greater Boston area
• Communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations clearly to customers
• Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in service tickets
• Install and commission replacement HVAC components and ductless equipment as needed
• Follow company, manufacturer, and code requirements to ensure safe, high-quality work
• Collaborate with dispatchers, office staff, and teammates to manage daily schedule efficiently
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in clean and organized condition
• Participate in ongoing training to expand technical skills and stay current with new technologies
