Part of the Hall & Woodhouse family of iconic pubs the Ship was the first owned by Hall & Woodhouse it has been a member of the family since 1856. There have been many changes over the years like the addition of our upstairs restaurant with stunning views of Weymouth Harbour and our beautiful sunny courtyard. Today the Ship is the perfect place to rest and relax year round, whether it’s watching the boats coming in and out of the harbour, if you’re lucky you might even see the daily catch being docked right outside our front door, or relaxing in front of a roaring log fire with a pint of Badger Beer.

The Ship is glorious in the summer and cosy in the winter.

• This is a fixed‑term role ending 30/09/26 with the potential to become permanent, depending on performance and business needs
• A pay increase to £13.45 per hour, after completing 6 months service

• Aged 18+ as you will be required to serve alcohol unsupervised
• Well presented and a confident communicator with an eye for detail

Experience in bar or waiting roles—especially in a busy food‑led environment—is an advantage, but not essential for the right person.
