Process Engineer Wastewater Remediation

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology (GWTT) seeks an Application and Process Engineer for wastewater remediation projects in the construction industry. You will design and optimize groundwater and wastewater treatment systems, develop process calculations and P&IDs, support proposals, and prepare submittals. Partner closely with field teams during installation, startup, and troubleshooting to ensure safe, reliable system performance. This role combines office engineering and on-site work, offering hands-on exposure to complex remediation challenges and strong growth potential in a mission-driven, safety-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Design and size groundwater and wastewater treatment systems for remediation and dewatering projects
• Develop process calculations, PFDs, and P&IDs for treatment systems
• Support proposals with technical scopes, equipment selections, and estimates
• Prepare engineering submittals, drawings, and documentation for construction
• Collaborate with field crews on system installation, startup, and optimization
• Monitor treatment performance and analyze data to recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues on active treatment systems
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet project goals
• Contribute to continuous improvement of standard designs, tools, and best practices
