Industrial Pump Mechanic – Job Description Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pump Mechanic responsible for disassembling, inspecting, measuring, repairing, and reassembling a wide range of industrial pump systems. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, diagnostic skills, and the ability to interpret technical documentation to ensure accurate repairs and reliable equipment performance.

• Disassemble, inspect, measure, troubleshoot, and reassemble various industrial pumps including:
• Split Case Pumps
• End Suction Pumps
• Submersible Pumps
• Vertical Turbine Pumps
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Read and interpret pump cut sheets, schematics, and exploded diagrams to identify components and repair needs.
• Perform detailed inspections and measurements to ensure proper tolerances and alignment.
• Disassemble industrial gearboxes and transmissions to assess condition and identify failures.
• Set gearbox spacing and perform adjustments to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and repairs.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with medium to large industrial pumps.
• Experience with manufacturers such as Flygt, KSB, Peerless, Ingersoll Rand, Flowserve, and Worthington strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience disassembling and diagnosing industrial gearboxes and/or transmissions.
• Ability to fully read and interpret technical drawings, cut sheets, and exploded diagrams.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Must own a complete set of tools required for the position.

• First Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Overtime opportunities available after the standard 8-hour shift.
