Bag Line Machine Operator
The Bag Line Machine Operator plays a key role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by operating and monitoring bagging equipment to maintain efficient production and consistent product quality. This position requires strong attention to safety, mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting, and a commitment to plant cleanliness and housekeeping at the end of each shift.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor bagging equipment and related machinery on the production line to maintain efficient output.
- Ensure product quality by performing regular inspections and quality control checks during the production process.
- Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift and identify any irregularities or issues.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on bagging and robotic equipment to resolve minor operational problems.
- Maintain continuous production flow by responding promptly to equipment or process interruptions.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and coworkers.
- Support housekeeping activities by cleaning spilled material around the bagger and robotic equipment at the end of each shift.
- Maintain general plant cleanliness in the work area, including sweeping, organizing materials, and keeping walkways clear.
- Work effectively as part of a production team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
- Adhere to attendance expectations by arriving on time and reliably completing assigned 12-hour shifts.
- Work in a fast-paced industrial environment, adapting to changing production needs and priorities.
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift as needed throughout the shift to perform machine operation and housekeeping duties.
- Experience in production line or manufacturing machine operation.
- Proven ability to operate industrial machinery or equipment in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills for automated packaging or bagging equipment.
- Demonstrated quality control and inspection skills to maintain product standards.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety compliance requirements.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, either day or night, as scheduled.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Strong attendance record and reliability in previous roles.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills in a production environment.
- Close attention to quality and safety standards while performing all tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred.
- Experience with automated packaging or bagging equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities beyond routine operation are beneficial.
- Experience in general labor or industrial housekeeping is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain plant cleanliness and support housekeeping activities.
- History of dependable work performance and consistent attendance.
- Comfort working in a safety-focused culture with established procedures and guidelines.
