About The Opportunity
A growing cosmetic and personal care manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analytical Color Matcher to join its Quality team. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, and validating incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical testing, color matching, documentation, and working within a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Location: Wharton, NJ
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: 24+
- Perform routine analytical and physical testing of incoming raw materials.
- Conduct color evaluations and color matching to ensure consistency with product specifications.
- Review and document test results accurately in laboratory systems and reports.
- Approve or reject raw materials based on established quality standards.
- Maintain laboratory records in accordance with SOPs, cGMP requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Investigate out-of-specification results and assist with corrective actions.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Support internal audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Quality teams to resolve material‑related issues.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
- 2+ years of Quality Control laboratory experience within cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, food, or chemical manufacturing environments.
- Experience with color matching, color measurement instruments, and analytical testing techniques.
- Knowledge of cGMPs, SOPs, and quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
