Leading Manufacturer has an immediate need for a Quality Control Analytical Color Matcher.
Job SummaryThe Quality Control Analytical Color Matches bulk batches for exact shade, viscosity, pH, SPG, melting point, etc. Analyzes color samples to determine the exact match using color measurement tools and software (if available). Prepares color benches to achieve precise color matching. Additional tasks but not limited to perform physical tests, document results in laboratory forms or logs, approve or reject materials for production use, ensuring compliance with SOP’s and cGMP’s.
Key Responsibilities- Batch Adjustments:
Evaluate and adjust bulk batches of foundation, Lip Glosses, sticks, hand sanitizers and any other shaded formulation so they match the approved standard. - Testing & Analysis:
Conduct routine physical and chemical testing (e.g., pH, viscosity, density, and color) on incoming raw materials and finished products. - Instrument Operation:
Utilize FTIR spectrophotometers, pH meters, viscometers and any additional lab equipment to verify product quality. - Documentation:
Record test data and shade adjustments in accordance with SOPs, cGMP, and Good Documentation Practices. - Compliance & Safety:
Approve or reject materials based on quality standards and investigate any out-of-specification (OOS) results. - Collaboration:
Partner closely with Tech Service, Manufacturing, Production and R&D teams to troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies. - Compliance & Documentation:
Accurately document test results and maintain quality records (CoA’s), ensuring all materials meet specifications. - Sample Preparation:
Perform sample preparation techniques to submit them to internal and/or external laboratories. - Laboratory Maintenance:
Make sure that the equipment is properly calibrated, clean, and in good performing conditions. - Quality Control:
Isolate, label, and report non-conforming materials to Quality Manager and Lab Supervisor. - Inventory Coordination:
Organize raw material samples, manage retain samples, and support inventory tracking. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate standard operating procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
- To adopt a last-minute change, work under pressure and flexible to help in other Quality areas as the company needed.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within pharmaceuticals, OTC, or cosmetics manufacturing.
- Color Discernment:
Strong observational skills and perfect or near-perfect color perception. - Knowledge of cGMP’s, GDP and GLPs ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Experience reviewing batch records in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Basic communication, mathematics, and computer skills/literacy, MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and closely follow quality standards.
- Attention to detail, multitasking, decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Great team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision.

$25.00 per hour
