Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; valid New Jersey driver's license; personal vehicle.
- Experience in law enforcement, school security, and/or public safety for a minimum of five (5) years, or as determined by the Board.
- Knowledge of security measures, fire protection, and crowd control. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate.
- Must be able to use technology efficiently, such as a computer, two‑way radio, video monitors, door entry systems, electronic surveillance equipment, and other devices selected by the district to be part of the school security system.
- Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.
- Proof of firearm license and concealed carry permit.
- Provide evidence that a criminal history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the New Jersey Department of Education.
To provide security and protection for pupils, staff, and school property while building relationships with all stakeholders and maintaining a positive school climate.
Salary$35.00/hour

Residency LawPursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (P.L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act," effective September 1, 2011, all newly hired public employees, including public school district employees must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey.
If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in NEW JERSEY.
