Job description

Apartment Complex located in Wharton, NJ is seeking an experienced Handyman. The position includes the responsibility for the care of the complex and comfort of the residents including but not limited to general interior and exterior maintenance, responding to service requests of the residents and repairs in apartments and common areas.

• Prior Maintenance experience a MUST
• Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants
• Includes drywall repair, spackling, sanding & painting
• Light electrical e.g. replace lights and/or outlets
• Minor cabinet repairs
• Assist with replacement of appliances
• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry
• Assist with completion of preventative maintenance program
• Good communication skills
• Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
• Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.
• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g., build cabinets)

The Maintenance Handyman must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.

VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED
