AR Accountant Overview
We are seeking an AR Accountant to support our A&F team during fiscal year‑end close and audit preparation. This role is essential for ensuring clean, accurate, and timely reconciliations ahead of year‑end. The ideal candidate is an independent worker who is comfortable navigating multiple systems, has experience in healthcare accounting and collaborating with various teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as an AR accountant specialist focused on preparing and cleaning financial data for year‑end close.
- Perform EHR reconciliations exported to file formats (approx. 50% of workload).
- Complete bank account reconciliations across multiple accounts (approx. 25%).
- Support ad hoc cleanup, audit prep, and documentation requests (approx. 25%).
- Utilize Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), Quick Books, and Net Suite to complete reconciliation tasks.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to ensure all reconciliations meet audit‑ready standards.
To succeed as an AR accountant, candidates must have:
- Prior experience performing detailed reconciliations in the GL.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and reconciliation‑focused functions.
- Experience with Quick Books.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Comfort working across multiple systems and collaborating with different teams.
- Nonprofit and healthcare experience.
- Prior experience supporting year‑end close or audit preparation.
- Familiarity with EHR‑related financial data and Net Suite.
- Experience as a healthcare reconciliation specialist.
