Financial Services Coordinator (Representative Payee Support)

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate professional to join our team in a highly rewarding role supporting individuals as they build financial independence. In this position, you’ll work closely with the Case managers and clients receiving SSI/SSDI benefits, helping ensure their financial needs are managed accurately and responsibly.

Reporting to the Controller, this role combines accounting fundamentals with purpose-driven work—perfect for someone who values both precision and making a difference in people’s lives.

What You’ll Do

Client & Financial Support

  • Manage payee accounts and maintain accurate financial records for clients
  • Process weekly and monthly disbursements, including bills and client requests
  • Distribute checks and ensure timely payments
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies with attention to detail
  • Assist case managers with client financial matters and participate in client meetings as needed

Operations & Administration

  • Process incoming mail (sorting, scanning, forwarding) for the payee office
  • Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Update spreadsheets and records based on changes to client budgets
  • Maintain organized documentation, including invoices and financial records

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support annual SSA audits and ensure compliance with required standards
  • Prepare and provide financial reports for internal teams and clients (e.g., for housing or benefits eligibility)
  • Contribute to accurate recordkeeping and reporting processes

Team & Professional Contribution

  • Build positive, professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Attend team meetings and participate in ongoing training and development
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team
What You Bring
  • Experience with Quick Books and foundational accounting tasks (deposits, payments, reconciliations)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for helping others
