We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic testing, maintenance, and repairs on all types of vehicles (gasoline, diesel, or hybrid).
- Conduct inspections and identify mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, alignments, and fluid checks.
- Repair or replace parts according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Document repair orders, parts used, and work performed accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members about vehicle issues and repair timelines.
- Stay current with new automotive technology and participate in ongoing training and certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (ASE certification a plus).
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
