Seyfer Automotive Specialties is looking for an experienced Classic Car Technician to join our team in Wheat Ridge, CO. If you know your way around carburetors, points and condensers, older ignition systems, and vehicles that predate modern OBD‑II diagnostics, this could be a great opportunity to put those skills to work. We specialize in working on classic, vintage, and older vehicles, giving our technicians the opportunity to work on vehicles and systems you simply don't encounter in a typical repair shop.
WhatYou'll Do
- Diagnose and repair classic, vintage, and older vehicles
- Troubleshoot carbureted fuel and ignition systems
- Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Work on brakes, suspension, steering, engines, and drive trains
- Read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot older electrical systems
- Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs and maintenance
- Road-test vehicles to verify completed repairs
- Maintain accurate repair and service records
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations with the service team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
We're looking for a technician with solid hands-on automotive experience and a genuine interest in classic and older vehicles.
Strong candidates will have:
- Professional automotive repair experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing older or classic vehicles
- Knowledge of carbureted engines and traditional ignition systems
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts
- A commitment to quality workmanship and careful attention to detail
- Experience with classic cars is strongly preferred. If you're the person other technicians call when they can't get an older vehicle running correctly, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay
$65,000–$120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
