About the RoleWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer / MEP Electrical Designer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with project managers, architects, and multi-disciplinary teams to design complete electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems from schematic design through construction administration.
Responsibilities- System Design: Design low-voltage power distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm integration, and grounding systems for diverse project types.
- Calculations & Analysis: Perform electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, voltage drop calculations, and Photometric/lighting calculations.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to the National Electrical Code (NEC), Energy Codes (IECC/ASHRAE 90.1), International Building Code (IBC), and local AHJ amendments.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, plumbing, and structural engineering disciplines, as well as exterior architectural elements.
- Construction Administration: Review shop drawings/submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform periodic site visits and field surveys.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Credentials: FE
- Experience: 0-2 years
- Knowledge: AutoCAD
- Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and building construction processes.
- Electrical design and analysis
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Understanding of electrical codes and standards
- Experience with BIM software
- Knowledge of energy efficiency practices
Starting competitive salary ($70,000 - $95,000+ base, depending on experience).
