Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Angiography) with at least 1 year of IR/vascular experience, ARRT(R) certification, and proficiency with Epic EMR.
Responsibilities- Interventional Radiology department in an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include angiography, embolizations, SIRT mapping/treatments, nephrostomy tube placements, biliary tube placements, CT-guided drains/biopsies/ablations, and Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
- Roles include circulating tech, scrub tech, and monitoring tech depending on case needs
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week with call requirements
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Responsibilities include scrubbing, setting techniques, imaging, patient preparation, radiation safety compliance, and post-procedure care including sheath management and hemostasis
- Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent findings to other providers following procedures
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
- Provides patient and family education and addresses concerns throughout the care process
- A personal radiation dosimeter badge is required for this assignment — candidates are encouraged to use an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment when available
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- Minimum of 1 year of IR or vascular experience required
- ARRT(R) certification required
- BLS certification required — must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to start date
- Vascular/Interventional Radiography certification preferred
- Active state license required if applicable
- Experience operating IR imaging equipment and related information systems
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
