The Compliance & Training Specialist (CTS) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing organizational training and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and company standards. This role manages training programs from planning through execution, maintains accurate training and credentialing records, and serves as a key resource for employees and leaders on compliance and learning requirements.
Key responsibilities include administering CPR certification programs, coordinating class scheduling and certification renewals, developing and implementing the annual training plan, facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding programs, and monitoring completion of required regulatory and role-specific training through the organization's Learning Management Systems (LMS). The CTS also serves as the primary liaison for LMS support, ensuring employees have access to the tools and resources needed to successfully complete their training requirements.
The CTS leads communication and engagement efforts through newsletters, training announcements, email campaigns, and other educational initiatives designed to increase awareness, participation, and organizational compliance. This position collaborates closely with operational leaders, Human Resources, and regulatory stakeholders to foster a culture of accountability, professional development, and regulatory excellence.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and administer organizational training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and company requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the annual training plan, including required compliance and Develop, administer, and monitor the annual FTCA Risk Management Training Plan, ensuring completion, documentation, reporting, and ongoing compliance with HRSA and FTCA deeming requirements.
- Develop, manage, and monitor engaging training programs and course content through the Learning Management System (LMS), including creating and updating training materials, assigning courses, and tracking completion to ensure employees meet required training deadlines and learning objectives.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure timely completion of required training and documentation.
- Manage CPR certification programs, including class scheduling, certification tracking, and renewal compliance.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), providing user support, training assignments, and reporting.
- Track and monitor employee training progress to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct routine audits of training and compliance records, identifying and addressing gaps as needed.
- Collaborate with external trainers and vendors to deliver effective training sessions as needed.
- Maintain accurate training and compliance documentation to support regulatory reviews, surveys, and audits.
- Develop and distribute compliance and training communications, including newsletters, announcements, reminders, and educational resources.
- Collaborate with department leaders and stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous learning.
