Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Seniors Resource Center, 3227 Chase St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212

Job Type: Full time (M-F)

Reports To: Board of Directors

Direct Reports: Leadership Team

Pay Range: $155,000 – $170,000

About Seniors Resource Center

At Seniors Resource Center (SRC), our mission is to help older adults stay safe, healthy, and independent in the place they call home. It can be tough to age in place without the right support and that is where Seniors Resource Center comes in, offering an adult day program, in‑home care, chores and minor home upkeep services, care management, education on aging, and caregiver support.

General Purpose of the Position

The Board of Directors of SRC seeks a mission-driven, seasoned leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will embody strategic vision, inclusive leadership, and a commitment to the aging population in the Denver metro area.

As CEO, the individual will lead SRC in fulfilling its mission of supporting older adults through person-centered services. The CEO will ensure operational excellence, financial sustainability, and a thriving organizational culture rooted in SRC’s values.

Job Summary

In partnership with the Board, the CEO is accountable for the overall success and sustainability of Seniors Resource Center. The CEO is empowered to manage day-to-day operations, lead strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Governance
  • Collaborate with the Board to define and advance SRC’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Keep the Board informed of organizational performance, financial health, and relevant trends in the aging services sector.
  • Ensure transparent communication and ethical governance practices to SRC stakeholders, staff, funders and those who we serve.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and organizational risk management.
  • Serve as the “face of the organization,” especially with seniors, families, funders, community stakeholders, and the media.
Operational Excellence and Financial Stewardship
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage financial resources prudently, including budgeting, financial reporting, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through measurable goals and objectives, providing data to the Board on a regular basis, including an annual summary report.
  • Leverage technology to improve service delivery and access.
Human and Organizational Culture
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented workplace.
  • Ensure robust recruitment, development, and retention practices that reflect SRC’s values.
  • Lead the organization through growth, transition, and transformation.
Fund Development and Community Engagement
  • Lead fundraising efforts and engage the Board in development activities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders, legislators, and funders.
  • Advocate for policies that support healthy aging and community well-being.
  • Work with local media as a vehicle to increase awareness of the services provided by SRC.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of SRC’s work.
  • Ensure that services and programs are accessible, respectful, and responsive to the needs of all older adults.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including senior management or executive-level roles.
