Summary The Director of Nursing oversees the administration of nursing services in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.

• Support nursing best practices and objectives and participate in their ongoing evaluation and improvement to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Develop short- and long-range plans for nursing operations and services.
• Ensure nursing interventions meet each resident's personal, physical, and cognitive needs while maximizing independence, choice, identity, self-care abilities, and social engagement.
• Participate in admission decisions to ensure resident needs align with available nursing capabilities and resources.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents, employees, and visitors through oversight of safety and maintenance functions.
• Ensure treatments are administered appropriately and in accordance with care plans.
• Oversee medication and medical supply management, including proper storage, control, and inventory levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 3 5 years of nursing supervisory experience providing direct care to multiple patients or residents preferred.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing environment preferred.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college preferred; graduation from an approved RN program required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Colorado required.
• Current CPR certification required.
