American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Endoscopy Lab position requiring a CO or Compact RN license and experience performing the tech portion of GI equipment.
Details- Hospital-based Endoscopy Lab setting
- Provides nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
- Day shift schedule with 4 shifts per week at 9 hours per day, totaling 36 hours weekly
- Weekday and weekend on-call rotation required
- May be required to float to other Peri-Operative departments and occasionally to other nursing units based on business need
- Epic EMR charting used
- Active RN license (CO state or Compact) required, with compact licenses to be transferred to CO within 60 days of start
- Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), not expiring prior to start date
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the GI/Endoscopy specialty required
- Must be experienced performing the technical portion of GI equipment procedures
- ASN or Nursing Diploma required
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills required
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Collaborate with Pre-operative care RN to assess holistic patient needs and procedure requirements
- Develop, implement, and communicate individualized plans of care based on ongoing patient assessments
- Uphold aseptic technique standards and initiate corrective action for breaks in protocol
- Support and educate patients and families throughout the procedural process
- Serve as a resource to students and new caregivers, contributing to unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Document equipment use and supply consumption for accurate charging and inventory control
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
- Candidates who were previously permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year prior to eligibility
