American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy Lab position requiring GI equipment tech skills and a CO or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Endoscopy Lab of a hospital setting
- 4x9-hour Day shifts, 36 hours per week, with specific days discussed during interview
- Weekday and weekend on-call required
- May be required to float to other Peri-Operative departments and occasionally other nursing units within scope of competency
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- EPIC charting used
- Active RN license (Single State or Compact) required, must be transferred to CO within 60 days of start if using compact license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of experience in GI/Endoscopy specialty required
- ASN or Nursing Diploma required
- Must be experienced performing the technical portion of GI equipment procedures
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
- Provide primary nursing care and safety oversight for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
- Collaborate with Pre-operative care RN to assess holistic patient needs and procedure requirements
- Develop, implement, and communicate individualized plans of care
- Use principles of aseptic practice and monitor compliance within the surgical team, initiating corrective action as needed
- Support, educate, and reassure patients and families throughout procedures
- Document equipment use and supply consumption for accurate charging and inventory management
- Serve as a resource to students and new caregivers and participate in quality improvement processes
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
