Lab Technician, General Chemistry - 2nd shift

Job Title: Environmental Lab Technician

Location: Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory

We are offering a 2nd shift position. The shift differential is $2 per hour for Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 12:00 am.

• After appropriate training, independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments/equipment.
• May assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Input and maintain technical information as needed to support laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma and 0‑2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or prior experience working with one’s hands (Required).
• Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline and 1‑2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred).
• Advanced English language skills (Required).
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required).
• Basic computer skills (Required).
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs on a frequent basis (Required).

The expected hourly rate for this position is $21 to $23. This pay rate represents what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The position is also available for a $2 shift differential when working from 3:00pm - 12:00am.
