Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position: Asbestos Microscopist (Scientist I)

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, and internal equity, as well as market conditions and organizational guidelines.

• Prepare and analyze bulk materials using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) and air samples using Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM).
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory microscopes and equipment.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high‑quality, organized laboratory records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Biology, or related STEM field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Certification in N10SH
  582 (Air Analysis) or other relevant certifications.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).
