We are hiring a Commercial Roofing Service Technician to diagnose leaks, repair commercial roof systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, mod‑bit, BUR, coatings, metal, etc.), perform leak investigations, and install/maintain sheet metal systems.
What You’ll Do- Diagnose and repair commercial roof systems—including TPO, EPDM, PVC, mod‑bit, BUR, coatings, and metal.
- Perform detailed leak investigations using photographs, moisture detection, and systematic troubleshooting.
- Execute corrective repairs that permanently resolve issues.
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial sheet metal systems: coping, edge metal, gutters, downspouts, scuppers, standing seam, exposed fastener metal roofs, ACM/MCM panels, metal wall panels, soffits, and architectural cladding.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and perform accurate field measurements.
- Communicate findings clearly with customers and the project‑management team.
- Document all work via Company Cam with photos, notes, and diagrams.
- Provide recommendations for long‑term maintenance and repairs.
- Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
- Represent Element Systems with professionalism and pride, including appropriate attire.
- 3–5+ years of commercial roofing experience, preferably in service.
- Proficiency in at least two major commercial roof systems; willingness to learn others.
- Sheet metal experience including metal roofing and architectural wall systems.
- Preferred:
Knowledge of steep‑slope roofing systems—shingles, tile, stone‑coated steel, synthetic, metal shingles. - Strong troubleshooting skills and independence in the field.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for documentation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to access government properties.
- Eligibility for security clearances (assisted by the company).
- Occasional travel availability.
- Ability to lift 50–80 lbs, climb ladders, and work at elevation.
- Experience running service crews, managing small projects, or leading field tasks.
- Not a foreman role but accelerates advancement.
- Experience with ACM/MCM systems (Alucobond, Reynobond, etc.).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
- Experience driving a service truck.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
