Location:

Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery – Denver, CO

The Courier reports to the Mission and Family Care Manager. As our Courier, you will have the responsibility to document and track all items that you pick up and deliver. This will include documents, letters, packages, and other items as needed.

As our Courier, you will be driving daily to our different locations, hospitals, coroners, and other work-related stops. And some of your time will be spent onsite working in the office to support the Funeral Directors with paperwork. You should enjoy driving, have good computer skills, and have a positive and supportive attitude toward the Catholic church.

Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres. St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary has two locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt.

Olivet Cemetery and was opened in 1981. The second is the historic Central Denver location on N. Marion in Denver. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the public regardless of their religious affiliation.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with hospital supervisors, security and Decedent Affairs on deliveries and pick ups
  • Communicate with doctors, coroners, vital records, and state to complete Death Certificates
  • Obtain doctors’ signatures, and track all deliveries and pickups
  • Plan daily transports/stops for pickups and deliveries
  • Transport up to 1 year old deceased babies to the mortuary
  • Maintain proper protocol with packages and fetal remains
  • Receive assignments by phone, email and fax
  • Assist the Funeral Directors with various office duties of paperwork
  • Maintain vehicle registration and title work
Requirements
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Valid DL
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Must pass a Background Check
  • Lift up to 25 lbs
  • Good driving skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Funeral experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Catholic culture, parish life, or diocesan structures
