Position

Title:

Temporary Operations - Residency Specialist

Reports to:

Assistant Principal of Operations
Job Goal:
To support the building in verifying residency and finalizing registration.

Responsibilities
  • Careful review of incoming freshmen residency documents submitted by families to determine if documents meet the District 201 residency requirements.
  • Communicate with families regarding completion or need to complete/ resubmit accurate residency documents.
  • Ability to navigate a student management system, including accessing and inputting information into the student database and electronic filing cabinet.
  • Input basic information into Microsoft Excel worksheets and type materials as requested.
  • Provide all other office support as assigned by the Assistant Principal of Operations.
  • Flexibility to travel to any District 201 campus.
  • Work collaboratively with the Truant Office to verify residency as needed.
  • Perform home visits for residency checks as needed.
  • Willing to adjust their schedule on occasion to participate in evening events related to the job role.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency and experience with technology (computers, iPad, scanner and copier equipment).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel programs and Skyward student management.
  • Excellent attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer support.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone, in person and electronically with parents, students, and staff. Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred, though not required.
  • Available to work during the months of May through August.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License.
Schedule

W/M through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Other times dependent on special events like in-person registration.

Locations & Coverage

Positions available for Morton West, East, & the FC. Flexibility to travel to any District 201 campus.

Compensation

Rate of Pay: $17.50/hour

Additionally, $200 summer stipend for home visits.
