Responsibilities
- Designs residential construction drawings, including roof and floor systems and produces layouts.
- Discusses changes and corrections with engineers, homeowners, architects and contractors prior to and during construction.
- Collaborates with the outside sales team to design and present jobs.
- Prepares residential layouts.
- Performs job site inspections.
- Determines special notes to append contracts.
- Resolving architectural and design discrepancies.
- Assists in the shipping department.
- High School or GED required.
- Associate's Degree in civil, architectural or design related field may be required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1 year of drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required.
- Proficient technical writing skills.
- Excellent salesmanship and communication skills.
- Proficient in AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office.
