- This staff member monitors and supervises student attendance and behavior. In collaboration with the building/district administrator, makes decisions regarding alternatives for discipline interventions and the consequences for misbehavior. Collects, monitors, and analyzes district and ISBE required discipline and behavioral data to assist with student and district problem-solving.
- In collaboration with building administration and building student service staff, supports and coordinates activities relevant to emotional health. This includes but is not limited to: social-emotional support and coordination; academic support and coordination; family support and communication; truancy support and interventions; communication with outside agencies; serve as facilitator for support staff in service of student; collaborate with staff in developing student schedules;
providing professional learning for staff working with students with social-emotional and behavioral needs; identifying and coordinating emotional health supports. - Provide support to students that may need a short term break or regulation
- Serve as a member of school student service team
- Help coordinate academic expectations for school by working with staff to identify essential learning targets/outcomes
- Provide professional learning essential to emotional wellness building and district-wide
