Community Consolidated School District 89 is seeking a Part‑Time Resource Teacher for Briar Glen Elementary School for the school year.
Job SummaryThe special education resource teacher will provide special education teaching services at Briar Glen Elementary School. This special education resource teacher position will case manage a group of students that have goals and accommodations to support social emotional skill development in an inclusive environment. In this role, the resource teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students with greater needs, collaborating with teachers, parents and other professionals to develop and implement formalized plans, ensuring compliance with any and all special education regulations.
QualificationsAll applicants for this position are required to meet Illinois State Board of Education requirements, including an LBS1 endorsement within their Professional Educator's License (PEL).

Salary: All certified staff are placed on a salary schedule according to education and experience as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting BA, 1 salary for the year is $57,220.00.
Benefits: Certified staff experience 12 sick days and 4 personal days of paid time off. All full‑time staff have the privilege of partaking in our health and dental insurance programs; these include up to 90% Board‑paid health insurance for the employee and 100% Board‑paid dental insurance for the individual staff member.
