Community Consolidated School District 89 is seeking a full‑time Early Childhood/PreK Long Term Substitute Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year, located at Briar Glen Elementary School. The teacher will deliver a blended preschool classroom experience, implement district policies, and adapt lesson plans—both individualized and group—to meet each student’s needs.
QualificationsApplicants must meet Illinois State Board of Education requirements, including a SUB license; PEL with SCGE (Birth to Grade
3), EC, SPED, and EL endorsements are preferred. PreK experience is desired.

Salary and BenefitsCertified staff are placed on a salary schedule based on education and experience under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting annual salary (1st year) for 2026‑2027 is $57,220.00. Certified staff receive 12 sick days and 4 personal days of paid time off. Full‑time staff are eligible for health and dental insurance: 90% board‑paid health insurance and 100% board‑paid dental insurance. Additionally, the daily pay for this long‑term substitute position is $180.
- Sub 25 days: $15 gift card, thank you certificate, name on District Thank you Board
- Sub 50 days: $100 bonus
- Sub 75 days: $100 bonus
- Sub 100 days: $100 bonus
