• Support a team approach to planning and implementing program activities, collaborating with family support workers, teachers, program aides, site partners, and the site supervisor to benefit classrooms and families.
• Participate in ongoing CLASS implementation and monitoring.
• Guide and facilitate children’s activities, ensuring proper child guidance, discipline, and appropriate staff‑to‑child ratios at all times.
• Attend all mandated trainings, set professional development goals, share resources with staff, and track development in Gateways.
• Use Teaching Strategies Gold to maintain high‑quality documentation of school‑readiness skills and keep inter‑rater reliability.
• Communicate with families via monthly newsletters and family conference forms using Teaching Strategies Gold.
• Implement the program’s Planned Language Approach to support dual language learners and their families.
• Schedule and conduct education home visits with teaching staff to discuss individual development, progress, and to assist parents in setting educational goals.
• Maintain accurate teacher and child files.
• Ensure transportation safety procedures are followed, including use of the bus attendance log when applicable.
• Accurately complete CACFP documents in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Build positive, ongoing relationships with parents, volunteers, and other staff members.
• Collaborate with the site supervisor and family support worker to exchange information related to services for children with disabilities.
• Conduct or oversee screening of all children within prescribed time frames using developmental, social‑emotional, and other prescribed screening tools.
• Ensure curriculum fidelity, submit weekly lesson plans with individualization for all children—including accommodations for IEPs and IFSPs.
• Provide a supportive, caring, and safe environment for children.
• Use the playground as an extension of the classroom, ensuring it is safe.
• Provide active supervision to ensure child safety in the classroom, during transitions, at transportation times, and on the playground; no child shall be left alone or unsupervised.
• Provide home‑visiting services to maintain family support when needed.
• Assist in the agency’s annual program self‑assessment.
• Participate in program recruitment efforts to maintain full enrollment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 21 credit hours in Early Childhood Education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or a related field with 21 credit hours in Early Childhood (preferred).
• Experience planning and implementing learning experiences that enhance children’s intellectual and physical development, including preparing children for preschool readiness through literacy awareness and learning approaches.

• Require sitting and standing for prolonged periods, frequent talking, hearing, handling objects, and occasional bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Require close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and using a computer terminal.
• Require occasional lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds.
