Lab Technician
We are seeking a Lab Technician to support analytical laboratory operations in a regulated environment. This position is responsible for processing laboratory samples, reviewing analytical data, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with established laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong chemistry background, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with analytical instruments and laboratory information systems. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high quality laboratory testing while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures for laboratory testing activities.
- Correctly identify analyzed samples and verify the accuracy of batch sequencing before processing.
- Process acquired instrument data and generate accurate laboratory reports.
- Conduct the first review of LCMSMS analytical data according to established laboratory procedures.
- Transcribe or upload analytical results into the Laboratory Information System for final review and certification.
- Maintain complete and accurate Chain of Custody documentation for all laboratory batches.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and promptly escalate laboratory challenges when necessary.
- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment while following laboratory safety practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- At least one year of experience working in an analytical laboratory.
- Ability to work safely with biological specimens, laboratory chemicals, analytical equipment, and scientific instruments.
- Knowledge of laboratory documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous laboratory experience in analytical testing.
- Experience reviewing LCMSMS analytical data.
- Experience using a Laboratory Information System.
