The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product features for the Advisor and Client Portals that align with business goals and customer needs. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders—the PO ensures the product roadmap is clear, actionable, and continuously refined to maximize value. The successful candidates will be high-energy, team-oriented, collaborative individual.
Must be able to successfully operate as a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-sensitive environment.
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy aligned with company goals.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring clear prioritization based on business value.
- Conduct market, customer, and competitor research to inform product decisions.
- Create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
- Break down features into user stories and ensure they are ready for development.
- Continuously review and adjust priorities based on changing needs, feedback, and business direction.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
- Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment on requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver user-centered designs.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide timely clarifications to the development team to unblock progress.
- Validate completed work to ensure it meets requirements and delivers intended value.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize customer feedback to improve product performance and user experience.
- Present product updates, release plans, and metrics to stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and ensure transparency around timelines and priorities.
- Define and track KPIs to measure product success.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement through experimentation and feedback loops.
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to understand testable features.
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, usability, compatibility, and exploratory testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Trello, or similar.
- Ability to balance technical constraints with business priorities.
- Certification: CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent.
- Experience with UX/design thinking principles.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (GA, Mixpanel, Tableau, etc.).
- Background in software development or technical environments.
