Litigation Legal Assistant

Are you a legal assistant with experience? Our firm is in need of your assistance. LGLJ is seeking a full-time legal assistant for our Firm’s Wheaton Office to assist attorneys in state and federal court litigation matters. Qualified candidates should have at least 2-4 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, strong organizational skills, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to 2-3 attorneys in state and federal court litigation matters;
  • Prepare and organize legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence and discovery;
  • Manage multiple attorneys’ calendars, schedule depositions and meetings;
  • File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with deadlines;
  • Performance of general administrative and office support duties.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a law firm setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of Illinois court procedures is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits include:

Salary Range: $40,000-$60,000 (Salary commensurate with experience)
