Director of Publicity & Strategic Partnerships
Working closely with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications the Director of Publicity & Strategic Partnerships provides leadership, strategy, and execution for Crossway's publicity efforts, working to expand the reach and ministry impact of Crossway's books, Bibles, as well as our authors. This individual leads the publicity team while cultivating strategic relationships with influencers, key endorsers, churches, church networks, podcasters, media outlets, and other mission-aligned Christian ministries that help introduce Crossway resources to new audiences.
This role combines thoughtful publicity strategy with proactive relationship development, ensuring that every priority publishing project achieves the widest reach possible.
Lead and develop Crossway's publicity team, providing vision, coaching, and strategic direction.
Create and oversee publicity strategies for Crossway's books, Bibles, authors, and ministry initiatives.
Build and strengthen relationships with media outlets, podcasters, influencers, ministries, churches, conferences, and other mission-aligned partners.
Identify new opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Crossway's publishing program through strategic publicity and relationship development.
Collaborate across Marketing & Communications, Sales, and Editorial to execute integrated product launches and promotional campaigns.
Represent Crossway professionally in relationships with authors, media, ministry partners, and industry contacts.
Monitor trends in media and communications, recommending innovative approaches that strengthen Crossway's influence and effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful leader with a passion for Christ and his Church, gospel-centered publishing, and strong relational instincts. This individual enjoys building meaningful relationships, thinking creatively about audience engagement, and helping Crossway resources reach the people who need them most.
A college degree with 5-10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, publicity, communications, publishing, or a related field
Experience in Christian publishing preferred
Demonstrated experience building and managing external relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong written communication skills with attention to tone, clarity, and brand consistency
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple partnerships and campaigns simultaneously
Self-motivated, highly collaborative, creative, and attentive to detail
This person must have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior and a love for God's Word. They must be an active participant in a local church and be committed to an evangelical, historic Reformation understanding of the Bible, the gospel, and Christian doctrine. They must have a pleasing personal demeanor with a servant's heart.

This position offers an annual salary range of $75-80k and is based on previous work experience, education, acquired skills, and established relationships. Salary commensurate with current standards for comparable positions and responsibilities within publishing and other leading not-for-profit ministries. Compensation is reviewed and evaluated annually by the Executive Compensation Committee (ECC) of the Crossway Board of Directors.
