Position Summary
We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as a Registry Registered Nurse (RN) within the Kenneth Moy Care Center.
As part of our Registry team, you will work a minimum of eight (8) shifts per calendar month, four (4) of which must be weekend days. All shifts worked must be eight (8) hours. Total number of hours worked per year must not exceed 1,000 hours.
As part of your schedule, you will be required to work a minimum of:
- One (1) major summer holiday:
Memorial Day, Independence Day (July
4), or Labor Day. - One (1) major winter holiday:
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. - Two (2) additional County holidays:
Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, or the Day after Thanksgiving.
This position is assigned to the AFSCME (Care Center) Bargaining Unit. The position is not eligible for health insurance benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities- Respond to residents’ calls and provide services.
- Plan and coordinate residents’ care plans.
- Prepare and apply dressings, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Supervise and guide Nurses’ Aides in the performance of routine nursing activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory of narcotics and other drugs.
- Give enemas and douches, catheterize residents, irrigate bladder, and administer oxygen.
- Contact families or relatives if a resident has needs.
- Oversee documentation to comply with IDPA reimbursement rules, Public Health Regulations and Joint Commission requirements.
- Completion of coursework for a diploma in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Current license in Illinois as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN).
- Wound care experience.
Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than for medium work.
The work environment for this position regularly includes working with residents and attending to their daily needs. The noise level is moderate to quiet.
