Overview

Famous Footwear offers athletic, fashion and casual shoes for the whole family from hundreds of name brands. This role is for a Seasonal Associate at Famous Footwear.

• Ace Retail Operations: Ensure daily store tasks (pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment and inventory) are dialed in, keeping the store running with clean, organized spaces and products that are easy to shop.
• Be a Famous Culture Influencer: Deliver stellar customer engagement and create top-notch experiences by being attentive and ready to help customers find the styles and brands they crave.
• Elevate to Your Goal-Crushing Era: Bring your best to each day, review store performance, and drive sales with purpose and urgency. Communicate clearly with the store team and listen actively to ensure understanding.
• Act with Integrity: Adhere to company policies and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Bring the Positive Vibes: Embrace diversity and inclusivity, maintain a positive mindset, and support training and development of teammates as needed.
• Be a Shoe-off: Be shoe-obsessed, make thoughtful recommendations, and help customers leave with the right fit and a positive experience.

Other responsibilities may be performed as needed to meet business needs. Overtime hours may be required.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Able to build constructive relationships within the store
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in partnership with Store Sales Manager and/or Assistant Managers
• Working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends and extended hours

• Regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height with proper technique
• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods
