Registered Nurse - Infusion — Rockville, MD

Pay From: $43 per hour

• 1 plus years of direct patient care in an inpatient setting
• Must have Registered Nurse Licensure to work in the state of Maryland
• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Must have strong IV experience
• Must have infusion therapy experience
• Must be organized with a strong attention to detail
• Must hold an BLS

• Registered Nurse will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
• Preparing patients for chemotherapy
• Chemotherapy infusion
• Basic familiarity of proper medication dosing and use
• Provide patient education Analyzes assessment data gathered from patient and family to ensure completion of database and plan of care within identified time frames
• Helps coordinates care for the outpatient oncology population in collaboration with the physician and healthcare team.
• Directs prioritization and organization for complex patients
• Documentation exemplifies adherence to the highest standards of practice
• Anticipates and proactively plans for educational needs verified with patient and family throughout the hospital/outpatient stay and prior to discharge
• Excels in organizational skills, adjusts for changes and is able to complete assignments on time
• Role Models caring in all encounters with patient and family as evidenced by feedback from parents and an increase in patient satisfaction scores
