Position: Retail Sales Associate - 0089

Compensation & Commission

$17.65 to $20.75 per hour, plus an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

Position Summary

The Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the staff to provide customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and processes sales, loans, and other transactions in a positive, professional manner. The role involves a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Make the sales floor clean, stocked, and display merchandise.
  • Perform sales and loan transactions following policies, procedures, regulations.
  • Handle all cash and negotiable items per policies.
  • Answer incoming calls according to company standards.
  • Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers.
  • Work with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
  • Complete assigned training.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform duties that require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May assist customers outside the building and access exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Able to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible to work retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Applicants receive details during the interview process.

Should you be offered and accept a position with us, the company requires agreement to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
