What you can expect as an Avionics Maintenance Technician at West Star
:

Our Avionics Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e. Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot Systems), as well as aircraft systems.

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components when designated.
• Conduct aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customers in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (speak, write, read) in English.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
