Wheeling, IL 60090
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $75,000-$95,000
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support technical application solutions that drive system sales through solution-based selling
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify new product and process opportunities
- Support Process Development Laboratory (PDL) activities to enhance sales initiatives and application development
- Generate and qualify sales leads through trade shows, inquiries, marketing campaigns, and industry outreach
- Conduct outbound follow-up calls and emails to prospective and existing customers
- Engage with industry sectors through conferences, customer visits, and close collaboration with Regional Sales Managers
- Represent the company at trade shows, including booth planning, on-site support, and customer engagement
- Develop system proposals by selecting equipment, accessories, and consumables in collaboration with Product Management
- Address and resolve technical and commercial objections during the sales process
- Support the creation and maintenance of technical bulletins and product literature in partnership with Marketing
- Maintain strong customer relationships and keep account activity current with sales teams
- Investigate and resolve customer application and delivery-related issues
- Maintain productivity while adhering to ISO 9000 quality procedures
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred - 2-5 years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales support, or a related engineering role
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, business materials, and regulatory information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, customer correspondence, and presentations
- Solid math and analytical skills, including basic algebra, geometry, percentages, and data interpretation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define issues, analyze data, and draw sound conclusions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order processing systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
